Enrolled Nurses on Site 24/7

Meercroft Care employs Enrolled Nurse’s (EN) with a minimum of a diploma qualification and is a member of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). The EN is responsible for coordinating the care provided to residents in their assigned area of Meercroft. EN’s deliver nursing care based on the nursing care plan under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Extended Care Assistants on Site 24/7

Meercroft care employs Extended Care Assistants (ECA) with a minimum qualification of Certificate 3 in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent. The role of the ECA is to provide high quality personal care to residents, service users and care recipients under the direction and supervision of the Nurse in charge. ECAs are responsible for providing residents with high quality personal care as per the care plan whilst recognising their individual preferences.

Hospitality Staff

Meercroft care employs Chefs, Cooks, Services, Cleaning and Laundry staff. Food plays a key role in maintaining physical and emotional wellbeing of our residents, our team of people to help prepare and serve tasty, nutritious and fresh meals each day.
Cleaning and laundry staff are also crucial to our residents’ wellbeing as they make sure our environment is clean and towels, linen and clothing are kept fresh and clean whenever they are needed.
All Hospitality staff work under the guidance and direction of our Hospitality Manager who is also a qualified chef to ensure the nutrition we provide is to the highest standard.

Leisure and Lifestyle Staff

Meercroft Care employs Leisure and Lifestyle staff with a minimum qualification of Certificate 4 Leisure and Health or equivalent. The Leisure and Lifestyle staff are responsible for providing a high level of resident care through promoting and implementing individual and group activities and social events that contribute positively to the individual social, religious and cultural needs of the residents.

Administration Staff

Meercroft employs a team of dedicated and skilled administration staff who provide expertise and services from Reception, Payroll, Rostering, Finances and Contract Management.

Maintenance and Grounds Staff

The Environment is a key part of our model of care and location. Meercroft employs maintenance and gardening staff to ensure the building and its environment both inside and out are maintained to a high standard to promote residents independence, privacy, cultural safety and emotional wellbeing.
