Meercroft Care Inc. has 14 x 2 bedroom units adjacent to its residential aged care facility. There are 9 units at 1-7 North Street and 5 units at 9 Clements Street. Units are available by paying an Unit Entrance Contribution.

These units have been constructed to meet the needs of the elderly and the elderly with a physical disability in that they are wheel chair friendly with extra width doorways and the provision of hand rails where required. All the units meet a star rating of greater than 6 which allows for efficiencies with heating and cooling.

Residential Care: 140 beds
The Park: 59 permanent beds and 1 respite
Seaview: 46 permanent beds and 1 respite

People wanting government assistance when moving into residential care will require to complete the asset and income assessment form SA457 ‘Combined Asset and Income Assessment’. For further information refer to myagedcare.gov.au Income and Assets Assessment for aged care homes.

Our specialised memory support is for persons with all types of dementia including Alzheimers disease. The specialised memory support unit (Ocean View) has 32 permanent beds + 1 respite bed.

The specialised memory unit is supported by registered, skilled and experienced staff, consisting of a team leader, manager and extended care assistants.

The aim of the program is to maintain the Client’s well being by promoting independence, doing stimulating activities and increasing socialisation.

Our Residential respite care provides short-term care when you need it when you are intending to return to the community. Residential respite care is used on a planned basis, to help if your carer is absent for any reason such as illness or holidays. You may have 63 days of respite care in a financial year.

We currently have three respite beds available.
